Everest Base Camp

To stand at the foot of the tallest mountain in the world is a dream for many people. Gokyo- The Emerald Lakes

Jiri to Everest Base Camp

Back in the day before highways and light aircraft, the only way to get into the Khumbu region was by trekking from just outside Kathmandu, nowadays with the advancement of the road and the development of the airport in Lukla this is not necessary, but should you choose to do things the old fashioned way and follow in the footsteps of our pioneers, then you can commence your trek in Jiri and head to Lukla and then up to Base Camp, just like the original mountaineers and explorers into this area. The trek winds its way up and down through the jungle and Sherpa villages and then upwards into the mountainous Khumbu Region. What better way to take in this region than by beginning at the bottom and reaching the heights of base camp by your own two feet. This certainly offers the achievement of a life time.

Tengboche and Everest View Trek

This is the ideal trek for those of you who have a short time in Nepal, or don’t want to spend a long time trekking, but still want to set foot in the Everest region. This short trek takes in the highlights of the Sherpa culture, one of the highest monasteries in the world, Tengboche, and affords you splendid views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam and Lhotse, some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world.
